Grandma Stories.

Grandma loved telling stories to her grandchildren - Medha and Meenu. One day, Medha asked her grandma "Grandma! I wish I have special abilities!... You know a story about that ?' Grandma smiled at Medha. Grandma began her very own story.

                                                                                          ~

Once in king Amit's Kingdom, Two blind boys and a brahmin came running in the court. The brahmin cried' My lord, I have nothing to feed my young boys . They need to head a happy life. If you don't mine, can you give me 5 pieces of gold coins ? I will start my very own business. I will surely return your money next year.' The king took pity on the two  sons and the brahmin. So, he asked " Okay my brahmacharya, but what will I do if you did not return my money?" The brahmin replied' Sir if I did not return your money, I will give my sons to you now. They have special abilities.

The younger one can find the characteristic of a horse. The elder one can find the type of an ornaments' Kind Amit ordered his men to give the brahmin what he asked for. The brahmin went away giving his sons to the king. Next day, there was a horse seller. The king wanted a horse. But the king remembered the younger son .

He asked the younger son that what the horse would do. The son opened up with a start.' Your honor, This horse is a uncontrol - able horse .' King Amit wanted to test it out. So, he made a man sit on the horse. All of the sudden, the man was throwed up by the horse. After some months later, a jeweler came walking in the quay.

The king called for the elder son he humbly bowed his head and said "Your Majesty, this ornament is cursed. The man who touches it would immediately die. King  Amit asked the jeweler if it was true. He said 'Yes, it is true". The King appreciated the two for there clearness. A year passed, the Brahmin returned to the court, successfully. The king asked that the brahmin himself had anything special abilities. He said that he had. It was that he can find anyone's past. The King wanted to know his past. "Sir, thought you were the king, your father has been a robber.' The king burst out in anger. "How dare you tell that?' He screamed. He ordered his men to put the three to death.

The Unlucky Face

Once, in King Akbar's Kingdom, there lived a young boy named Yusuf. Yusuf's life was miserable. Because, everyone who stared at Yusuf for just 1 minute could have bad luck for the day. This was believed by  everyone.

Nobody liked to talk to Yusuf because of the bad luck. One day, The news reached Akbar's ears. He called for the young boy. He humbly requested Yusuf to stay in Akbar's palace. The next morning, Akbar sat beside Yusuf and stared at him. The next movement, a messenger rushed to the court and cried" Jahampanah, Queen is feeling unwell.' "no doctors could cure her..". Hearing this, the King rushed back to the Queen's chamber.

He sat beside her for a day. Next day, When the Queen was a lot better, Akbar walked into the Court. When he saw Yusuf sitting in the bench, the King burst out in anger. "How dare you make my Queen unwell.... I order! Push this boy in the prison !!!.

Then, Birbal, who was watching all this, murmured something vigilantly into Yusuf's ear. "Huzoor, If you say that Queen was feeling unwell just because you saw my face then, Can I say that I have the received this punishment after seeing your face ?  .'

The King realized his mistake. He apologized to Yusuf and sent him home with a bag of gold coins.
